With the purpose of boosting and accelerating the innovation process of the multi-destination products of the Central American region in European markets, CATA—with the support of the Spanish Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism (AECIT) and the Presidency Pro Tempore of the CD-CATA of Nicaragua—carried out a Multi-destination Tourism Products Innovation Workshop in Managua, Nicaragua last September 28 through 30.
About 42 tourism professionals from Central America gathered in Managua to participate in the event, including owners and product managers of Tour Operators, as well as representatives of the National Tourism Authorities, members of FEDECATUR Chambers, and the Secretariat of Central American Tourism Integration. The exercise carried out in Managua resulted in six magnificent and innovative proposals, which are expected to outline plans to conform the portfolio of projects that CATA would submit to CD-CATA for approval and subsequent search for funds for its execution.
