Central America’s participation in the WTM international tourism fair that took place from the 6th to the 9th of November in El Salvador was successful. The Central American countries represented by their Tourism Ministers, accredited diplomats, entrepreneurs, and CATA, made the traditional ribbon cut that culminated with a toast offered by El Salvador, which involved marketers and tourism media that attended the summit.
CATA had a busy schedule of appointments with the media, wholesalers with proposals of marketing cooperation for the promotion of the Central American multi-destination product, and public interested in learning about the attractions and beauties of our region.
By 2015 the flow of visitors from the United Kingdom to Central America showed an increase of 30.05% in relation to the number of British tourists registered for 2013. This encouraging fact motivates us as a region to continue improving and working to conquer the British market.
