El Salvador was the stage from where the region was projected to the world through the CATM Fair, the most relevant event for the promotion and commercialization of Central America as a multi-destination to its target markets in Europe. For this edition, CATM counted with the participation of wholesalers from the Taiwanese and Nordic markets.

Since November 2016, and with the support of its PR agency in Europe, CATA executed an entire strategy and carried out promotional actions that guaranteed the participation of high-quality and reputable wholesalers in their respective markets, and through which Central American companies can market their offers.

CATA secured the participation of 70 wholesalers from Germany, Spain, France, Holland, Italy, United Kingdom, Finland, Belgium, Norway and Sweden, as well as 25 European journalists. In another order, CATM El Salvador, achieved the participation of 90 Central American organizations, of which 84.44% of the exhibitors were companies.

The outcome levels of the negotiations were rated as good by both buyers and bidders, which will lead to new and innovative multi-destination products becoming part of the European vacation offer for the 2018 season.
