The Ibero-American Congress of Public Innovation held in October 2017 in Tenerife, and organized by the Cabildo de Tenerife, the General Foundation of the University of La Laguna and NovaGob (social network of the Spanish Public Administration), incorporated within the themes of its event CATA’s work experience from the public administration stand point in Central America, in order for tourism to be a key element for development.

Thanks to the invitation from the above-mentioned Spanish entities, CATA, represented by its Secretary General, presented before an audience of more than six hundred participants about CATA’s work as an integrator of the tourism sector to achieve the objectives of promoting and positioning of Central America as a multi-destination. Also, the Secretary General emphasized on how CATA has decisively strengthened the process of tourism integration in the region, elements that are closely linked to the objectives of the Central American Tourism Council through SITCA.
