During the year 2017, CATA carried out market research focused on learning and determining the expectations and demands of the best prospect tourist for the multi-destination. By the second half of the year, the results of the studies corresponding to the markets of Holland, Italy and France were received to satisfaction, and were distributed by CATA to the Chambers of Tourism and the marketing areas of each of the Central American National Tourism Authorities (NTA).

The studies provided novel elements to understand the behavior of potential multi-destination tourists that will allow both the NTAs, the private sector and CATA to update their intervention strategies in each market.
